Tender description

The contract is divided into 3 lots. Lot 1 the purchase of a Rack and Bottle Washer. Lot 2 Individual Ventilated Cages and Lot 3 an option to purchase an automated Zebra Fish Housing System. The scope is for the supply, delivery, installation and commissioning of a rack washer. The rack wash system is expected to accommodate IVCs (Lot 2) with a horizontal plenum and be able to accommodate various species cages. A minimum industry expected life length of 15 years for the rack washer is required and customer support to aid in house resolutions of issues. 2 years’ comprehensive warranty followed by 3 years maintenance and service cover is to be provided. The scope is for the supply, delivery, installation and commissioning of rat IVCs with the capacity for a minimum of 64 cages as specified in Section 3.2. It is expected that IVCs will have a minimum life time of 10 years. A minimum of 3 years warranty, maintenance and after sales service must also be provided. Fifty percent extra spare cage bottoms and 20 % extra spare tops/hoppers should be included in your tender submission. The University may purchase an automated zebra fish housing system which should be offered as an option to be taken up by the University by 30.8.2020. The scope is for the supply, delivery, installation and commissioning of a zebra fish housing system. The system must include a minimum of 1 920 litre tanks. The tanks must be compliant with UK Home Office Standards. A minimum of 1 years’ warranty and 3 years maintenance and after sales service should be detailed in your tender response.
