Invitation to tender for a Concession to Operate a Community Based Market in Bushy Park, Dublin 6.

Tender description

Dublin City Council proposes to award a concession to operate a community based market in Bushy Park, Dublin 6. The concession will be issued beginning 2019, for a three year period with the option, at the sole discretion of Dublin City Council, to extend for a further two periods of one year each. The Market will operate in the designated area (in the vicinity of the Templeogue Road area of the park) each Saturday for a full day (within park opening hours, see below), commencing on the first Saturday in March and ending of the last Saturday in October (8 months per annum). The maximum number of stalls permitted will be 30 stalls. The market must benefit, support and engage with the local community, including, but not limited to- local producers, schools, clubs, art groups/individuals, businesses. Community markets are intended to promote the local community while enhancing the attraction of parks and tourism in the city. They offer vendors new opportunities and support local businesses. The concessionaire will be expected to provide a high quality market that will compliment the superb public amenity that hosts it and benefit the local area as a whole.
