Tender description

Her Majesty’s Courts and Tribunals Services (HMCTS) Estate intends to procure a contract for Porterage and Moves services for the Royal Courts of Justice (RCJ), with an estimated value of 200 000 GBP per annum. The services include the movement of parcels, packages, furniture and other goods required by the operational staff, the Judiciary and a variety of service providers around all court buildings. The porterage and moves service on-site at the RCJ is considered a critical service to ensure the efficient operation of the RCJG facilities. There are many unique requirements relating to the size and complexity of the main RCJ buildings that means moving large items require a professional moves operative (certain floors within the RCJ have more than 13 level changes on a single floor). There are a significant number of porterage and moves activities required daily to ensure the smooth operation of the facility, with orders being placed and coordinated by the inhouse accommodation team.
