16/097 - Tullamore and Birr Water Supply Schemes Project

Tender description

The contract consists of the design, construction, commissioning, testing, operation service of the existing water treatment plants and upgraded water treatment plants together with site development and ancillary works and all associated pipelines as follows: Design-Build: Tullamore Water Supply Scheme – Clonaslee Water Treatment Plant The existing Clonaslee Water Treatment Plant (WTP) is located on a brownfield site and will be upgraded to provide a treated water output capacity of 2,600m³/day. The proposed development works are explained in more detail in the PQQ document. Tullamore Water Supply Scheme – Ardan Water Treatment Plant The proposed Ardan WTP is to be located on a greenfield site adjacent to the existing Ardan borehole site and will have a treated water output capacity of 5,900 m³/day. The proposed development works are explained in more detail in the PQQ document. Birr Water Supply Scheme – Birr Water Treatment Plant The existing Birr Water Treatment Plant (WTP) is located on a brownfield site and will be upgraded to provide a treated water output capacity of 3,600m³/day. The proposed development works are explained in more detail in the PQQ document. Operation Service includes; • Operation Service of the existing works, from the existing intakes to the outlet of the plants, for a minimum period of 18 months (i.e. from 30 days after commencement to date of commissioning certificate) • Operation Service of the new / upgraded works, from the existing intakes to the outlet of the plants, for a minimum period of 1 year with the option to extend for a further period of up to 3 years at the sole discretion of the Contracting Entity. •The Operation Service element of the works shall be carried out of in accordance with Irish Water’s Asset Management System (IBM Maximo). Full details of the scope of works and phasing of the works will be detailed in the ITT.
