VALLEY GARDENS, HARROGATE - TENNIS COURT RESURFACING WORKS

Tender description

1. Introduction There are currently 4 tennis courts in the Valley Gardens which require resurfacing work. 2. Detail of requirement 2.1 The existing 4 tennis courts must be resurfaced with open textured macadam surface. 2.2 The tennis court surfaces to be prepared, swept clean, holes drilled at 450mm centres and filled with clean shingle. Any dips levelled, all weed roots and seedlings to be destroyed, works carried out to ensure the new surface finishes flush with the existing edges. 2.3 Appropriate open-textured macadam surface to be laid to achieve smooth plane and robust surface, to LTA standards 2.4 New ground anchors to be installed to all existing net post sockets. 2.5 Temporary lines to be painted to enable use before the courts can have permanent white lines added. 2.6 Courts to be painted blue and red with non slip lines. 2.7 A site visit can be made by contacting Kirsty Stewart on 01423841002. 2.8 The contractor must before quoting ascertain the nature of the site, the extent and nature of the types of work required and all local conditions and restrictions likely to affect the work. 2.9 The contractor should ensure that consideration is made for vehicle, plant and equipment access to the site before submitting the tender. 2.10 No claims or increases in costs will be entertained due tot the lack of knowledge of site conditions, site access, the required construction works and risks to property, workforce and general public. 2.11 The contractor shall provide all labour, plant, tools, vehicles and materials necessary to complete the works. 2.12 Any vandalism or malicious damage to contractors plant or equipment will be covered by the contractors own insurance.
