Tenders are invited from competent Food Caterers for the provision of school meals concession catering service at Coláiste Abbain, Adamstown, Co. Wexford. It is intended to award this contract to a single service provider. The successful tenderer will be required to provide a comprehensive healthy, balanced and nutritious catering service to students, staff and visitors at affordable prices on Monday to Friday each week of the school year. The successful tenderer will be responsible for compliance with Food Safety Authority Ireland and the National Standards Authority of Ireland’s standards in relation to the Food Preparation, Food Storage, Hygiene, Cooking, Waste, etc. The successful tenderer will be expected to demonstrate innovation and flair in the creation of value for money menus in three categories. 1. Items provided under the Department of Social Protection’s (DSP) School Meals Programme, in respect of which funding is provided by the DSP. • Students are not charged for breakfasts provided under the scheme. • Students a nominal amount towards the cost of lunches provided under the scheme. 2. Items not covered by the School Meals Programme 3. Catering for Functions- Staff Meetings, Visiting groups, graduations etc.
