6 000 000,00 GBP This framework is for the supply (lease) and installation of an integrated road vehicle telematics and dashboard camera system with associated services. This system will be leased as opposed to purchased as leasing the units is a more cost effective solution. There will be no up front cost for the units and at the end of the framework, all units can be provided back to the supplier. This decision has been made on the basis of lessons learnt from the current road fleet telematics framework. A working group session was held with Safety Technical Engineering (STE), end users, Road Vehicle Compliance Managers (RVCM’s) and trade union representatives to discuss the road fleet telematics specification and its application. The specification was agreed and it was determined that the current trade union agreement for road fleet telematics with Network Rail would be revised once the new supplier is in place. The supplier is to provide a system that includes but is not limited to the following: — units fitted in the Network Rail Vehicles that transmit telematics data that are leased units, — a forward facing and rear facing camera, — a web portal that can be accessed by Network Rail on its own site and computers, — an app which can be accessed on IOS and Android which will allow drivers to view their most recent and historic journey data, — reporting of driver activities and behaviour, journey records, tax related data and the holding and management of data generated from the vehicle units that supports Network Rail’s road fuel analysis, as a minimum.
