Halton Borough Council is currently considering options for commissioning an organisation/ freelance individual to deliver our Borough of Culture year and is testing the market to establish if there are suitable organisations that can provide this service. In Halton our aim is to increase participation in quality cultural activity across Halton, helping more people to experience the arts and to benefit from the role that culture can play in transforming lives - improving health and wellbeing, reducing social isolation, increasing community cohesion, inspiring creativity, supporting learning and making Halton a great place to live and work. Borough of Culture is awarded annually on a rotational basis to one of the six local authorities that make up the Liverpool City Region, as part of the Combined Authority’s 1% for Culture programme. The overall aim of the programme is to stimulate talent, aspiration and promote creativity and economic growth through cultural engagement and activity across the City Region. The closing date for questions is at 10.30am on 26th July 2019 All questions must be raised via the messages facility on The Chest. The closing date for submission is at 10.00am on 31st July 2019.
