Tender description
Public Health England (PHE) is seeking to procure automated spiral platers. Food, Water and Environmental (FW&E) Microbiology Services need to replace their automated spiral platers, which are the end of their life span. The use of a spiral plater system saves resource for the laboratories in terms of staff time and also removes the repetitive strain issues associated with pipetting and spreading such small volumes across agar plates. The three FW&E Microbiology Services laboratories inoculate approximately 2,500 plates per month per instrument.
