Tender description

Leeds Beckett University are looking to set up a framework of law firms for legal services. On each legal service instruction, the University will select a law firm from any one of the law firms from the successfully placed framework suppliers. Tenderers can apply for one or more of the 8 lots: 1) Coporate; 2) Students; 3) Employment and pensions; 4) Commercial; 5) Intellectual property; 6) Property, estates and construction; 7) Information compliance; 8) Litigation, dispute resolution and enforcement action. Lot 1: Corporate — corporate governance and constitutional matters, — regulatory compliance, — charity law, — company law and company secretarial advice, — formation of corporate entities, — company/business acquisitions and disposals, — joint ventures. Lot 2: Students — the university-student contract, — complaints and litigation, — disciplinary matters, — fitness to practice and professional conduct. Lot 3: Employment and pensions — employment law, — equality and diversity, — TUPE, — pensions, — health and safety, — organisational change, — outsourcing/contracting out. Lot 4: Commercial — sale of goods and supply of services, — public procurement, — collaborative activities, — confidentiality, — research funding agreements (including from EU institutions), — consumer rights of students. Lot 5: Intellectual property — trademarks advice and registration, — patents advice and prosecution, — copyright advice, — design rights advice and registration, — exploitation, assignment, licensing of intellectual property rights. Lot 6: Property, estates, and construction — acquisitions and disposals, — leases, licences, conveyancing, — landlord and tenant matters, — site/property development/redevelopment, — construction contracts and procurement. Lot 7: Information compliance — Freedom of information, — data protection, — records management. Lot 8: Litigation, dispute resolution and enforcement action — in relation to any of the other 7 categories.
