Tender description

Nottingham City Council is looking to establish a provider of staff absence insurance to its schools and academies, in total a maximum of some 101 learning establishments within Nottinghamshire boundaries. The key end users will be schools, academies, pupil referral units, and learning centres. This service is for the specific purpose of providing staff absence cover for schools and academies. Nottingham City Council is proposing to award a letter of appointment to the successful tenderer (rather than a ‘contract’). The individual schools will be required to enter into a contract with the successful tenderer on that tenderer’s terms and conditions if the school wished to take up the insurance. It will be the individual schools who will enter into any contracts but they are under no obligation to do so. The letter of appointment will be awarded to one supplier. Nottingham City Council is looking for 3 levels of cover with different levels of policy.
