NHS SBS are consulting on a proposal to tender for the provision of IT servers and software to support NHS Organisations to deliver server and software services to the NHS. To help define and develop our national procurement strategy and help in the development of our service specification to meet the needs of NHS Organisations, NHS Shared Business Services are engaging with potential providers prior to the release of any official tender documents in the Journal of the European Union (OJEU). The aim of this questionnaire is to notify the market of our future plans and to gauge interest in this opportunity with providers of full IT solutions, which provides full IT Infrastructure Servers and Storage Hardware, Networking, Virtualization, other services and end user and solutions software. Whilst the framework is looking for a full solution, please note that contracting authorities will be able to buy pieces of hardware and/or software as required through the framework. For example Contracting Authorities will be able to purchase new servers without the need to purchase other items.
