Children’s Social Care Board Secretariat and Data Collection

The Adoption and Special Guardianship Leadership Board (ASGLB) was established in 2014 aiming to provide leadership to the adoption system and drive improvements in performance. Andrew Christie is the current Chair. The required service will continue and expand upon the management service for the ASGLB, including the running of the secretariat and the collection and publication of quarterly adoption data. Support will also be provided to 2 other boards and their respective chair: — the residential care leadership board established in 2017, chaired by Sir Alan Wood, aims to drive forward improvements to the children’s residential care system and support vulnerable children across the country, — the National Stability Forum established in 2018, chaired by the DfE’s Director general of social care, mobility and disadvantage, aims to improve stability for all children in the orbit of the care system, leading to better outcomes and more children finding the right permanent placement. Lot 1: The secretariat for the Adoption and Special Guardianship Board (ASGLB) providing continued quarterly adoption data collection, Residential Care Leadership Board (RCLB) and National Stability Forum (NSF).
