Procurement of the Wandsworth Carer Partnership and the Richmond Carers Hub services across Wandsworth and Richmond Councils. Lot 1: Carers Services in Wandsworth Borough Council. Funding: 605 740 GBP. Target group: 19 000 adult carers. Carer strategy priorities: — identification and recognition, — realising and releasing potential, — supporting carers to stay healthy, — a life alongside caring. Current services: — represent carers at key forums, — promote engagement opportunities for carers, — identifying carer needs, — advice and information including via bi-monthly newsletter, website, telephone and drop-in. Informal advocacy: — maintain centralised register of all carers, — monthly GP carers’ surgeries, — support identification through training stakeholders — mindfulness training, — weekly facilitated groups on different topics, — training for professionals, — training and education for carers including stress management, handling, first aid, — one-to-one support, — support groups (formal/informal/specialist), — dementia cafe, — identifying volunteering opportunities, — carers’ respite including replacement care at short notice, — Back care and therapies, — carers stars. Providers are invited to a Market Engagement on 15th July 2-4 pm Conference Room 3a of the Wandsworth Town Hall Extension. Lot 2: Carers Services in L B Richmond upon Thames Lot 2: Richmond. Funding: 390 938 GBP pa. Target group: 17 000 carers who are resident or working in Richmond including almost 900 young carers. Carer strategy priorities: — improving identification of carers and their needs, — enhancing economic wellbeing through employment, education and training, — creating carer friendly services and communities. Current services: — represent carers at key forums, — promote engagement opportunities for carers, — identifying carer needs, — information and advice via different channels and locations, — coordinate sub-contracts, — strategic leadership including policy development, — outreach through weekly surgeries, — support identification through training stakeholders, — home visiting, — training for professionals, — training and education for carers including stress management, handling, first aid, — one-to-one support, — support groups (formal/informal/specialist), — dementia caring cafe, — identifying volunteering opportunities, — facilitate employment support.
