Tyre repair services, including fitting and balancing

Tender description

UK Power Networks requires a contractor for the supply and fitting, of tyres and associated services, as well as the maintenance of tyres, the disposal or recycling of damaged or worn tyres and the ability to offer other ancillary products and services where appropriate such as full vehicle assessments and reports. Tyres are required for UK Power Networks’ working fleet, which includes: cars and vans, mobile plant, light trucks, heavy-goods vehicles, and 4x4’s. The fleet is currently in excess of 3 500 vehicles and numerous load carrying trailers. The contractor should have nationwide tyre fitting centres – either itself or through partnership arrangements with others – appropriate for the range of goods and services required. UK Power Networks also requires a contactable, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year (366 days in a leap year) manned customer service department, to deal with UK Power Networks’ emergency and non-emergency requirements.
