Tender description
Tees Valley Combined Authority (the Combined Authority) wishes to appoint delivery partners for the roll out of full fibre/superfast broadband across the Tees Valley. The project is a broadband/full fibre roll out scheme which aims to ensure consistent coverage across the Tees Valley. The project aims to address those areas where there is a current gap in broadband provision (sub 15 mgbs) and for which there is not an immediate commercial solution without public funding support. The project will utilise ERDF monies to support investment in full fibre across each of the 5 Local Authorties in the region (subject to confirmation of funding, estimated December 2019). There is no limit to the amount of lots that bidders can bid for subject to bidders being able to demonstrate sufficient capacity to deliver effectively against all lots. Bidders may also wish to consider taking a consortia approach across a number of lots to offer additional capacity. A 2 stage procurement process will take place. The first stage will consist of suppliers completing a selection questionnaire/EOI to establish relevant knowledge and similiar experience to the project followed by stage 2, restricted invitation to quote for up to 10 lots.
