Environmental Monitoring, Assessment + Implementation Framework

The scope of this ITT covers the environmental monitoring, assessment and implementation requirements to support Southern Water in delivering deliver its programme for AMP 7. Specific areas of work include: Lot 1: Terrestrial Ecological Surveys and Assessments; Lot 2: Marine Ecological Species Surveys and Assessments; Lot 3: Freshwater Ecological Surveys and Assessments; Lot 4: Ecological Mitigation Installation and Monitoring; Lot 5: Application of natural & social capital approaches; Lot 6: Provision of Archaeological Services; Lot 7: Town and Country Planning services; Lot 8: Environmental Impact Assessments; Lot 9: Hydrometric monitoring. Lot 1: Lot 1: Terrestrial Ecological Surveys and Assessments The consultant will carry out assessments and reports to inform ecological assessments of terrestrial habitats, for schemes of all sizes and locations throughout Southern Water's operational area. Lot 2: Lot 2: Marine Ecological Species Surveys and Assessments The consultant will carry out studies, assessments and reports to inform ecological assessments of marine habitats, for schemes of all sizes and locations throughout Southern Water's operational area. Lot 3: Lot 3: Freshwater Ecological Surveys and Assessments The consultant will carry out studies, assessments and reports to inform ecological assessments of freshwater habitats, for schemes of all sizes and locations throughout Southern Water's operational area. Lot 4: Lot 4: Ecological Mitigation Installation and Monitoring The consultant will carry out the design and installation (light civil engineering) of river enhancement measures along selected reaches of rivers, for schemes of all sizes and locations throughout Southern Water's operational area. Lot 5: Lot 5: Application of Natural and Social Capital Approaches The consultant will carry out the design and application of natural and social capital approaches to support Southern Water. Lot 6: Lot 6: Provision of Archaeological Services The consultant will carry out the provision of archaeological services to support SW activities. Lot 7: Lot 7: Town and Country Planning services The consultant will carry out the provision of Town and Country Planning Services to guide project development and obtain planning permission for SW projects as appropriate: Including services in support of GDPO development; environmental impact assessment (EIA) development; and/or, in support of NSIP projects. Lot 8: Lot 8: Environmental Impact Assessments The consultant will carry out the provision of specialist services to deliver environmental impact assessments in relation to SW projects. Lot 9: Lot 9: Hydrometric monitoring The consultant will carry out the provision of hydrometric (groundwater, surface water and climate station) monitoring for various studies and investigations.
