The Provision of Insolvency Services in Relation to Debts Owed to The City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council

The City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council “Council” is looking for a “Service Provider” to act on behalf of the council (where instructed to do so by the Council) in all insolvency notices of creditors meeting. At a time when there is on-going pressure on local government finance, it is vital that collection of these debts is carried out both effectively and efficiently to ensure the maximum return to the Council in the shortest possible time. The Council is looking for a Service Provider to provide a proactive and comprehensive insolvency service in relation to all debts (Council Tax, Non Domestic Rates and Sundry Debts) owed to the Council. There is no financial cost for the administration of this contract payable by either the Service Provider or the Council. Authority will be given to the Service Provider by the Council to make general enquiries at the Official Receiver’s office or any to approved Secretary of State appointed insolvency practitioner, to act as trustee in appropriate cases, where the Council is a creditor Keywords: Debt, Recovery, Insolvency
