Tender description

The National Library of Scotland has a requirement to place a contract for the provision of telephony services. The National Library of Scotland (NLS) is about to commence a procurement exercise for the provision of telephony services. The library have identified areas where your views would be appreciated and such views may be taken into consideration in developing the procurement strategy for the new telephony services arrangements. NLS currently operates 2 telephony systems, one a Siemens ISDX and the other a Mitel VOIP system. There are approximately 400 desk phones between the two systems about 15 % of which are part of the Mitel system. The 2 systems are connected to allow internal calls and routing of calls. These 2 systems support 4 sites (3 in Edinburgh and 1 in Glasgow). Due to the age of the ISDX system and the cost of maintaining these 2 systems it has been decided to replace the systems with a single platform.
