Background Trafford’s Complex Needs (Children Social Care) Team is currently supporting a number of young people to access activities in the community. These young people have autistic spectrum disorder and/or learning disabilities. Some present with behaviours that challenge parents and carers. Aims & Requirements The Complex Needs (CSC) team would like to commission packages of community outreach support. There are currently 6 young people from families across the borough who are in need of this support with a possibility of 10 other families should the model be effective. We are keen to have the support in place as soon as possible, but we recognise that providers may need to recruit and therefore support may not be ready until the autumn term.
