Invitation to Tender for the Clerk to the Commissioners of Appeal for Taxes. The Minister for Treasury and Resources is seeking to appoint a Clerk to the Commissioners of Appeal for Taxes. Due to the complexities of bespoke Jersey Law(s), only Jersey registered Law firms or companies should apply. The Commissioners are completely independent of Revenue Jersey (the “Taxes Office”). They exist as the first point of appeal for a taxpayer who is in dispute with the Comptroller of Taxes. They hear appeals in private. Appeals against their decisions, whether on findings of fact or on points of law, can be heard before the Inferior Number of the Royal Court.
