Mental Health Supported Housing and Homelessness Hostels to support adults experiencing mental ill-health and additional support needs which impact upon their ability to live independently. The Contracting Authority has conducted a review of its supported housing and homeless hostels which support adults experiencing mental ill-health and additional support needs which impact upon their ability to live independently. Following a series of information gathering and engagement sessions the contracting authority now has: — a profile of the future demand and support needs, and — an emerging service model of the support housing and homeless hostels. It now seeks to develop a more person-centred mental health service model, one that provides continued support beyond the supported housing/hostel service through to independent accommodation is a key part of the strategic plans for adult social care for some time and responds to the need to more effectively manage increasing demand with ever decreasing resources, whilst providing the support and services that enable people to remain healthy and well.
