Tender description

The authority commissioned a carers assessment and support service in Lancashire, a Lancashire Advocacy Hub and a Lancashire carers advocacy service as separate contracts within one procurement process. Carers Assessment and Support Service (Countywide). The Service Provider will support and enable the health and wellbeing of Carers by ensuring Carers are identified at an early stage; are supported to identify themselves as 'Carers'; have access to a range of personalised information, advice and services that they need to support them in their role; are offered a Carers' Assessment and Support Plan; have an annual Review of their Carers' Assessment and Support Plan; are supported to take regular breaks from their caring role; are supported to improve their own health and wellbeing. The Carers Assessment and Support Service was split into 4 Lots for the purpose of the procurement; Lot 1 (North Lancashire), Lot 2 (Central Lancashire) Lot 3 (East Lancashire), Lot 4 (Countywide). Compliant bids were received for Lots 1, 2, 3 and 4. The Authority carried out an evaluation of the Tenders in accordance with the process detailed in the procurement documents. Tenderers were ranked to provide a highest scoring Tenderer for each Lot. The lowest cost option by comparing the Total Service Cost of awarding to Lots 1 – 3 or Lot 4, was Lot 4.
