Dumfries and Galloway Council are currently seeking expressions of interest in relation to the supply, installation and maintenance of Door Entry Systems for Dumfries and Galloway Council’s buildings. The Council wishes to conduct market engagement with software suppliers who can provide a solution for door entry systems for several buildings for potentially both employees and members of the public. The purpose of this prior information notice is to discover the types of door entry systems available in the market. The Council wishes to conduct market engagement with software suppliers who can provide a solution for door entry systems for several buildings for potentially both employees and members of the public. The purpose of this prior information notice is to discover the types of door entry systems available in the market. The intention from this PIN is to invite suppliers who can provide such software solutions to demonstrate their product(s) prior to the Council formalising its contract requirements. Examples of door entry systems that the Council are potentially interested in including: card entry systems, finger print recognition, systems to link to the recording of working hours to replace current timesheets (compatibility to current software in place e.g. itrent and the costs associated with this), etc. however, this list is not exclusive to any other options that may arise from market engagement/research. We are interested in setting up supplier demonstration sessions to gain an understanding of what the Council’s requirements are and the costs associated with the types of systems available to the market.
