Wantstead High School is a thriving secondary school, in the London Borough of Redbridge, with around 1500 pupils aged between 11 and 18. The school is in need of more suitable learning/education space for their geography, art and RE and require more suitable space for their catering and dining facility. Currently these facilities are provided through an existing building, which is beyond economical repair and via sharing dining and kitchen facilities in their assembly hall. In addition to the above, the school is attached to Wanstead Leisure Centre, which share their facilities with the school for the schools sporting curriculum as well as leisure provision for the general public.
