Tender description

KCC has a requirement for coring and material testing. The services to be included within this contract are coring and testing of utility reinstatements; coring of other areas for investigations prior to highway maintenance and improvement works; collecting of samples; sampling of materials used on the highway; carrying out specified in situ and laboratory tests and providing technical personnel and factual reports. The contractor will provide the services in accordance with good industry practice and comply with the contract, specifications, British Standards, guides, protocols and codes of practice as updated, amended and superseded from time to time. The contract will be a single lot covering all 12 districts and predicted (though not guaranteed) spend is circa 150 000 GBP/PA. It is proposed that the contract will be awarded to a single supplier following a competitive procedure with negotiation without further publication of a call for competition and interested suppliers are hereby invited to express their interest in this tender opportunity by 12:00 on 23.7.2019.
