Tender description

Description of the requirement To undertake a winter 2018-19 low tide bird survey preferably using the methodology described in Yates and Goss-Custard, 1991, Yates et al 1996, Yates et al 2004, Yates et al 2010, or digital aerial survey. This will supply information: • On numbers and distribution of the internationally important assemblage of non-breeding waterbirds including regularly occurring migratory species which are interest features of The Wash Special Protection Area (SPA), The Wash Ramsar and The Wash Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) to fulfill condition monitoring requirements and inform casework. • Which can be compared with the previous low tide surveys undertaken in 1985-7, 1989-90, 1990-91, 1991-2, 2002-03 and 2009/10, and the surveys undertaken for the Denver License Variation investigations to give a measure of temporal and spatial change in the numbers and distribution of feeding birds using the site.
