Smart Core is a project name given for the potential replacement of a Core ERP system. WSCC are seeking early market engagement with providers who may offer software solutions and implementation services for Finance, HR, Procurement and Contract Management business areas. West Sussex County Council (Council) employs circa 5 000 staff (excluding schools), to deliver public services within its governing area for a population of over 800 000, within a challenging economic environment. The Council’s core back office support services, Human Resources (HR), Finance and Procurement play an integral role in enabling the organisation to meet its objectives, deliver the outcomes defined within the West Sussex Plan and provide continuous specialist advice and support. re-procure and implement a modern, fit for purpose solution, which draws upon industry best practice and offers the Council the ability to deploy the latest continuous technological innovations in an efficient manner. The new solution would need to support the organisation in meeting its objectives, and offer a solid platform for meeting future business demands and pressures.
