Tender description

For the provision of energy consultancy services, which may include but not limited to: — advise on strategic options for the procurement of electricity and gas to best suit Southern Waters needs and risk appetite, — operate agreed hedging strategy on Southern Waters behalf, — advice regarding new technologies and products associated with asset optimisation and flexibility. For the provision of energy consultancy services which will include but not limited to: 1) Advise on strategic options for the procurement of electricity and gas to best suit Southern Waters needs and risk appetite; 2) Operate agreed hedging strategy on Southern Waters behalf; 3) Detailed understanding of the utilities contract regulations and associated procurement regulations; 4) Provide risk management services and daily market updates. Risk Management Services include but are not limited to: (a) updates on any legislative changes that impact the costs of pass through charges; (b) capacity level advice; (c) power factor correction advice; (d) review of ad hoc invoice charges; (e) review of flexible procurement adjustments performed by energy supplier; (f) review of base load position and tolerance position; (g) daily market updates; (h) ad-hoc alerts when market conditions dictate; (i) triad warning service; (j) quarterly third party charge review and report bespoke to Southern Water using Southern Waters profiled meters and data; (k) Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) advice and help with negotiations. 5) Advice regarding new technologies and products associated with asset optimisation and flexibility.
