Tender description

The Resource Efficient Scotland Advice and Support Service (RESASS) offers free advice and technical support to Scottish organisations, helping them embed resource efficiency through energy and water savings, reductions in raw material use and more efficient management of waste. Resource Efficient Scotland (RES) is a programme delivered by Zero Waste Scotland, funded by the Scottish Government and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The Resource Efficient Scotland Advice and Support Service (RESASS) offers free advice and technical support to Scottish organisations, helping them embed resource efficiency through energy and water savings, reductions in raw material use and more efficient management of waste. Since its launch in April 2013, RESASS has provided support to over 4 000 individual businesses to implement lifetime savings of 237 000 000 GBP and over 1 000 000 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2e), contributing significantly to the Scottish Government’s strategic economic objectives, climate change, energy efficiency and zero waste targets. The current Resource Efficient Scotland Advice and Support Service contract concludes in March 2020 and Zero Waste Scotland is keen to procure a future service delivery that will seamlessly maintain and build upon momentum to date, achieving efficiency savings year on year while continuing to provide access to free advice and technical support from April 2020 and increasing the range of standard and innovative services, skills and/or expertise available to support the identification and implementation of resource efficiency measures by SMEs in Scotland. A supplier engagement event will be held in Stirling on 18.7.2019 at Stirling Enterprise Park, Stirling FK7 7RP at 9:30 a.m. until 12:00 noon and a buffet lunch will be provided. This event will provide more information on the current service provision and our vision for future service delivery. This is an opportunity for interested parties to ask questions about the service requirements, find out more about the forthcoming procurement exercise, and to meet potential new delivery partners or subcontractors.
