Tender description

A planning application for underground valuable minerals mining and exploration, surface level development, processing plant and associated development works was submitted to the DFI by Dalradian Gold Ltd. DFI require a multi-disciplinary consultancy team to critically review the content of the submitted Waste Management Plan and to provide professional advice to the Department on the nature, level and adequacy in all respects of the Plan arising from a consideration of The Planning (Management of Waste from Extractive Industries) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2015 (the ‘WMR’). The WMP review has a contract period of 30 months which will include the provision of expert witness, as necessary, at a Public Inquiry (PI). Advice will be required throughout the processing of the planning application and will take account of the PI report in providing a final opinion to the Department on the acceptability of the WMP.
