Tender description

MAG Airport Ltd has requirement to appoint a specialist consultant(s) to undertake work which will develop an inventory of airport-related emissions impacting on climate change and/or local air quality. The Civil Aviation Authority’s CAP1616 process for Airspace Change requires environmental modelling to ensure the implemented option considers and assesses the environmental impacts resulting from the change. Climate change and air quality impact assessment form an important part of this assessment. The framework will provide all elements of climate change impact assessment and associated requirements at each airport location. The framework scope will include services including but not limited to data gathering, production of emissions inventories, impact of aircraft modelling, modelling of the impact of local road traffic, modelling of other sources as required, processing of results, technical reporting, provision of emissions and forecasting tools, provision of WebTag requirements and client meetings as required. The framework will provide all elements of Air Quality Impact Assessment and associated requirements at each airport location. The framework scope will include services including but not limited to data gathering, production of emissions inventories, impact of aircraft modelling, modelling of the impact of local road traffic, modelling of other sources as required, processing of results, technical reporting, provision of emissions and forecasting tools, provision of web tag requirements and client meetings as required. In respect of Air Quality, there is particular focus on modelling outputs for Nitrogen Oxides (NOx), Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2), Particulate Matter 10 (PM10) and Particulate Matter 2.5 (PM2.5).
