Tender description

This contract is for the procurement of 2 seperate services to be delivered across the Dumfries and Galloway region. The objectives of the drug and alcohol service include (but are not limited to): — to enable and support individual recovery from drug and alcohol problems through appropriate treatment to live healthy, safe and crime free lives, — to provide services that are easily accessible and which structure recovery services around the needs of the individual by providing personalised opportunities for sustained recovery and high levels of service user choice. The objective of the talking therapies service are: — to enable and support individual recovery from drug and alcohol problems through talking therapies, — to provide a service that is easily accessible, — to improve the health and well-being of service users and their families and carers. The main objectives of the drug and alcohol services contract is to: — enable and support individual recovery from drug and alcohol problems through appropriate treatment, — provide easily accessible services which structure recovery around the individual, — proactively work with individuals who have been referred to the service, but do not attend their first appointment and to re-engage with those who have left the service prematurely, — remove/reduce the impact of drug and alcohol related harm on family life, — reduce harms associated with drug and alcohol problem – for example, social exclusion and stigma, — promote the principles of harm reduction, — improve the health and well-being of service users, their families and carers, — develop and use links to community resources in Dumfries and Galloway, — provide direct support to service users accessing resources and/or activities which promote recovery.
