Tender description

HMRC are providing early notification of a requirement to provide forensic science analytical services that will support investigations in all operational areas by providing expert testing/examination and reporting on a variety of exhibits. This tender will be for digital and telecommunications analysis. Essential requirement: potential providers must possess BSEN ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certification, or equivalent, bu UKAS or a comparable body. HMRC's current approach to this contract would be a 1 year contract, with 2 x 1 year optional extensions following that for a potential total of 3 years. Please note that HMRC will reserve the right to purchase on behalf of other Contracting Authorities. Range between 1 500 000 GBP — 1 800 000 GBP. HMRC has a necessity for the forensic examination and analysis of both telecommunications equipment (inclusive of but not exclusive to mobile phones, fax machines, PDA’s, GPS units, etc.) and computer equipment (inclusive of but not exclusive of hard drives, discs, CCTV units, Games consoles, iOS (Apple) devices including iPod/iPad, thumb drives, digital camera, CD-roms etc) seized during investigations. HMRC also require potential providers to attend the scene of the seizure to provide advice and support along with a provision of a weekly transportation service. The quality/cost split is 70/30 but this is indicative and may be subject to change.
