Tender description

Velindre University NHS Trust (Trust) seeks to procure a fully integrated and interoperable radiotherapy solution together with associated services. Further information is set in Section II.2.4) below and in a Memorandum of Information (MOI) which is available to download via the eTenderWales portal address (see Section VI.3) of this Prior Information Notice (PIN). The Trust is placing this PIN to enable pre-tender market engagement exercise to be undertaken. Note: This is not a call for competition. Any formal procurement process subsequently undertaken will be in accordance with Competitive dialogue award procedure (Reg. 30, Public Contracts Regulations 2015) and will be advertised under a separate Contract Notice. The Trust is seeking to let a single contract for the supply, delivery, installation (together with ongoing support and maintenance) of a fully integrated, interoperable radiotherapy solution (the ‘Solution) at: (i) the current and the planned new Velindre Cancer Centre (VCC) in Cardiff and — potentially; (ii) Nevill Hall Hospital, Abergavenny. It is currently anticipated that delivery of the Radiotherapy Solution — could comprise of up to fifteen (15) treatment machines (although this may vary based on the type and configuration of the procured solution following dialogue), together with a treatment planning system and an oncology information system — will commence circa late 2020 and conclude in late 2024; associated support and maintenance services will be provided for a period of 10-15 years. Delivery of the solution will initially be to the existing VCC, with subsequent delivery and potential transition (from the existing VCC) to the planned, new Velindre Cancer Centre and potentially the satellite centre at Nevill Hall Hospital.
