LEAN Business Programme

Tender description

A programme giving participants the knowledge and skills to enable them undertake small lean projects in house resulting in continuous improvement. The programme will comprise workshop training to introduce Lean concepts and mentoring support in undertaking a short in-company lean assessment. The workshop training will cover, introduction, overview and benefits of lean principles, lean tools and techniques and how they relate to business, road map for lean in clients business, understanding the nature and scope of lean projects and project selection and scoping for participants. The programme will be delivered over 2 full days, one week apart. Participants will receive regular support throughout their assignment over a 12 -20 week period. It is envisaged that each participant will receive up to a minimum of 7 support visits lasting 3.5 hours each to the clients premises over the twelve week period. On completion of the programme participants should have gained a sound understanding of lean concepts, know how to identify suitable lean projects, have implemented their initial lean assignment and identify base cost improvement figures.
