Summary of the work Responsible for a wide range of Technical releases including management of resources detailed release/ plans, liaising with key stakeholders and suppliers for transition to live services. Specialist role Product manager Expected Contract Length 6 months. Might extend up to a total of 24 months depending on needs & performance Latest start date Monday 15 July 2019 Maximum Day Rate £630 - £680 Who Speclialist Work With You’ll be working with Project managers and suppliers to deliver a number of projects/ releases into Live Service. What Specialists Work On Main responsibilities include: • Creating and enhancing release process across HMPO Transformation projects. • Creating, maintaining and distributing road-map /project plans for forthcoming releases. • Liaising with different delivery teams and sites to coordinate releases. • Communicating with internal and external teams on forthcoming releases. • Preparing the change management documentation to accompany a release. • Being a point of contact for issues arising with a particular release. • Providing regular status reports on a release and ad-hoc reports for the leadership team. Skills & Experience • Proven ability in delivering Technical projects and products using the appropriate waterfall / agile project management methodologies. • Experience working with Product/ Project Managers to define the roadmap / Project plan for any given product deliverables • Experience in leading the collaborative, dynamic planning process - prioritising the work that needs to be done against the capacity and capability of the team • Experience in matrix-managing a multidisciplinary team Nice to Haves • Stakeholder management expertise • Presentational skills • Experience of working in the government/public sector • SC Clearance Work Location 101 Old Hall Street Liverpool Merseyside Working Arrangments Co-location with Project Team and Managers, and key stakeholders including supplies for face to face collaboration on the project delivery. Occasional travel to other HMPO sites may be required as part of deployments. Standard Government Terms and Conditions for Expenses as covered in the DOS Contract. Security Clearance SC Clearance is required. HM Passport Office will support the clearance process Additional T&Cs We expect this engagement to be outside IR35; however status is assessed on a case-by-case basis. No, there is no possibility for remote working in this position. 5. Will this need to be on site 5 days a week in Liverpool? Or is there scope for remote working 1-2 days a week etc.? Yes. There is no possibility for remote working in this position. 6. Is remote working acceptable? No, there is no possibility for remote working in this position. 7. Is SC clearance a necessity, or will candidates without SC clearance be supported in gaining it? The specialist will be required to have SC Clearance before they can start. HM Passport Office will support the clearance process. 8. Is this role inside, or outside of IR35? We expect this engagement to be outside IR35, however status is assessed on a case-by-case basis. 9. Do you have a preferred supplier in mind for the bid? No. We do not have a preferred supplier in mind for the bid. 10. The individual we have in mind for the work is a commonwealth citizen with Australian ASIO Clearance (MI5 Equivalent) they have lived in the UK for 18 months only. Is it worth us applying? SC Clearance is required for this post and in order to process we will need the supply addresses for the last 5 years within UK.
