Tender description

Bridgend County Borough Council wishes to procure two services to be delivered in line with one contract. These services will respond to the needs of and support service users with housing related support needs - Supported Accommodation for Vulnerable and Chaotic Service Users and Emergency Accommodation for Street Homeless Persons / Rough Sleepers. Through this tender process Bridgend County Borough Council wishes to procure two services to be delivered in line with one contract. These services will respond to the needs of and support service users with housing related support needs. Whilst the services will be delivered under one contract they can be distinctly split between the following: 1) Supported Accommodation for Vulnerable and Chaotic Service Users - This service will provide supported accommodation, with support available on site 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. The service will have the ultimate aim of intensively supporting vulnerable and chaotic service users to develop the skills needed to move on and live independently. A minimum of 9 units of accommodation are required, which will include provision for 1 emergency bed unit. 6 units of step down accommodation are also required; 2) Emergency Accommodation for Street Homeless Persons / Rough Sleepers - This service will provide homeless persons / rough sleepers over the age of 18 a safe, dry and warm environment to sleep. The service will be specifically for homeless persons / rough sleepers, primarily to those whom the Local Authority does not owe a temporary accommodation duty and individuals who do not yet feel ready to engage with support to address their housing needs. Provision will provide humanitarian support, offering a short term accommodation placement, often used as a stop gap for people to quickly move on.
