Wirral Health and Care Commissioning (WHCC) is coordinating the procurement of a Community Midwifery Service on behalf of 8 Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) in the region. The service provider(s) will be required to work in an integrated framework with the primary and secondary healthcare providers and wider partners including third sector organisations. In order to kick off the procurement process WHCC is holding a lead provider market engagement event for providers of Community Midwifery service. The purpose of the engagement event is to provide Community Midwifery providers an opportunity to engage with the CCGs in discussions about meeting the opportunities and requirements for services set out in the better births improving outcomes of maternity services in England: a 5 year forward view for maternity care and the NHS Long Term Plan. This PIN is to alert the market for engagement purposes in advance of the publication of the ITT. The engagement event will be held at the Lauries Centre, 142 Claughton Road Birkenhead, Wirral CH41 6EY on Friday 28.6.2019 between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Commissioners invite Lead Community Midwifery providers to complete and return the MOI (Memorandum of Information) to secure a slot for this event. This event is supported by the respective CCGs and Cheshire and Merseyside Local Maternity System. Please note, due to space limitations we are only able to accommodate 2 delegates per organisation. Slots will be allocated following this deadline. Organisations will be responsible for their own costs in relation to attending this event.
