Tender description

Lincolnshire County Council will be undertaking a procurement in line with Regulations 74-76 of the Public Contract Regulations 2015 (PCR), the light touch regime, and pursuant to Regulation 76(7) of the PCR, for a Dementia Support Service in Lincolnshire. PIN Notice Reference: 2018/S 194-439985 Lincolnshire County Council will be undertaking a procurement under the light touch regime established pursuant to Regulation 76(7) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, for a dementia support service in Lincolnshire. The aim of the dementia support service is to offer support and guidance for people with a diagnosed Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) or a diagnosis of dementia and their family and carer(s). The service will support people with an MCI or dementia to live at home for longer. It will also ensure that people are able to live as well as possible with MCI and dementia by providing early help and support which will help to prevent crises, unscheduled hospital admissions and premature transition into long term residential care and in some instances slow the progression of the disease through promoting the benefits of healthy lifestyles. The service will also provide practical support and guidance to family and carer(s) of people with MCI or dementia on how to support the person while enabling them to continue in their caring role. The contract will run for an initial 3 year duration with the option to extend for a further period or periods of up to 2 years.
