Tender description

NHSBT requires Flow Cytometers for the enumeration of cell populations, cell phenotyping of patients and donors, leucocyte red cell and platelet antibody detection by NHSBT diagnostic, product testing and research laboratories. The Authority invites Tender Responses for the supply and support of Flow Cytometers over a period of 4 years, from the commencement date. Beneficiaries of this contract include: Welsh Blood Service (WBS), Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service (SNBTS) and Irish Blood Transfusion Service (IBTS). This Lot will detail the minimum requirement for all Flow Cytometer devices ‘general technical requirement’. This Lot will also include a list of ‘optional requirements’ that cover clinical (CE-IVD) and research (Non CE-IVD) requirements. These optional technical questions will not be evaluated at the initial tender stage but will provide a greater understanding to bidders of what may be required at mini-competition. This Lot will be awarded directly to all suppliers who meet the technical requirements as there is an ongoing need for General consumables for Flow Cytometers. This lot is for the maintenance of the Authorities existing Beckman Coulter Flow Cytometers and will be awarded directly after the ITT has been completed as there is an ongoing need for maintenance.
