Tender description

The University of Leeds is seeking expressions of interest from architects together with a landscape architect for the design of a new statement building and surrounding landscape which will accommodate spaces for teaching and learning, collaborative and interdisciplinary working, personal development and challenge. The project will create a focal point for the University's Western Campus aiming to engender an entrepreneurial mindset and foster collaboration between students across the campus. The student hub will be a statement building for the University of Leeds Western Campus. It will provide an outstanding facility for study and social learning, alongside support for skills, personal development and careers advice. With its cafe and social space, it will become the community heart of the Western Campus — both for business and law students and for the many students from across the University. Expressions of interest are therefore invited from architects with a landscape architect by completing the selection questionnaire. 5 design teams will subsequently be invited to prepare concept design proposals.
