Tender description

GLF Schools (the Client) was founded in 2012 and since then has grown to comprise 27 schools across 5 counties in southern England working with more than 10 000 children and 1000 staff. The tender project is seeking to appoint a supplier whose initiative and innovation will be welcomed for the provision of cleaning services within the existing facilities for the following schools: — Chestnut Park Primary School — Croydon, — Cuddington Croft Primary School — Cheam, — Danetree Primary School — West Ewell, — Forge Wood Primary School — Crawley, — Glyn School — Epsom, — Lime Tree Primary School — Merstham, — Marden Lodge Primary School and Nursery — Caterham, — Southgate Primary School — Crawley, — Whyteleafe Primary School — Whyteleafe, — Springfield Primary School, — Merstham Park School. GLF Schools is a growing Trust with a number of new schools planned to be opened over the next 2-3 years. It is anticipated that additional schools within the Trust may potentially be added to and fall under the scope of this contract as new schools open and current contracts in other schools come to the end of their agreed terms. The successful supplier will be expected to provide this service within these schools using the same costing model, ratios, etc. that they applied to their successful tender submission for the Trust at the point of tender submission. The contract being tendered is for 3 years in duration from 2018 to 2021 and will operate as a guaranteed performance contract, with the successful supplier offering the schools a guaranteed cost per annum for the provision of cleaning services. The academic year is based on a calendar of 195 days. 5 days are to be used for staff professional development which means that the schools will be open to receive students for the legal minimum of 190 days. Some schools may open for fewer days to students, but the successful supplier would be required to work the additional days up to 190. The contract offered covers the scope for the provision of all cleaning services within the schools, which currently includes daily cleaning and holiday/periodical cleaning. Whilst the Client prioritises value for money as a key objective of the competitive tender process, the Client is not obliged to accept the lowest price. The Client expects the successful supplier to enable the continued development of cleaning services. The Client expects the successful supplier to evidence, through their bid, how they shall support and complement the values of the Client and support the principles/values of each of the individual schools. The schools are continually seeking ways to improve and develop the ethos and environment for students and staff, to give them the facilities they deserve and need to meet the challenges of the 21st Century. Please be advised that this contract will be let on a 3 + 2 years basis.
