Tender description

Since 2016, Newcastle Universities Students Union (NUSU) has made menstrual care products freely accessible from there Student Advice Centre. They have also absorbed the cost of VAT on all menstrual care products sold in the NUSU Shop. Newcastle University students launched an online petition calling for free menstrual care products on campus that received 323 signatures. NUSU Student Council voted unanimously in support of the stance that “the University should fund free menstrual care products across campus”. This stance was also endorsed by Newcastle University Feminist Society and the NUSU Marginalised Genders Officer. Attendees at NUSU Student Council expressed support for their tuition fee investment being used towards this proposal. Keywords: menstrual , sanitary, vending
