Tender description

This notice is for the award of contracts for the coroners' removal services (a statutory service) across the Kent Districts and Medway Unitary Council. There are 2 elements to the service: Coroners' removals and coroners' transfers. The contract areas are as follows: Lot 1: Coroners' Removals: Thanet, Canterbury, Shepway, Dover, Ashford, East Swale, Dartford and Gravesham, Medway, West Swale, Maidstone, Tunbridge Wells, Sevenoaks and Tunbridge and Malling. Lot 2: Coroners' Transfers: East Kent and West Kent. Lot 1 — is for the delivery of the coroners' removals across the County of Kent for the thirteen (13) Contract Areas: Tonbridge and Malling, Dartford and Gravesham, Tunbridge Wells, Sevenoaks, Maidstone, Medway, East Swale, West Swale, Thanet, Dover, Ashford, Canterbury and Shepway. There is no guarantee of the number of removals that will be required during the contract term in these contract areas. Historic numbers have been used as a guide to understand the potential associated costs. Lot 2 — is for the delivery of the of coroners' transfers across the County of Kent for two (2) Contract Areas: East Kent: incorporating — Thanet, Canterbury, Shepway, Dover, Ashford and East Swale; West Kent: incorporating — Tonbridge and Malling, Dartford and Gravesham, Tunbridge Wells, Sevenoaks, Maidstone, Medway and West Swale. There is no guarantee of the number of transfers that will be required during the contract term in these contract areas.
