Tender description

Cornwall Council has a specific duty to provide information, advice and support service to children, their parents and carers and young people with SEND (special educational needs and/or disability) as defined in Parts 19 and 32 of the Children and Families Act 2014. The provision of this service enables Cornwall Council to fulfil its obligations in line with the 2015 SEND code of practice and the quality standards for services providing impartial information, advice and support that provide a framework to support the Code of Practise. Cornwall Council has statutory duties in relation to SEND information and advice. The Council needs enhanced information on alternative delivery models, future demand and commissioning approaches to make informed decisions about future provision of SEND information and advice. Cornwall Council is therefore conducting a soft market assessment to gain an understanding of the potential level of interest in providing information and advice for children, their parents and carers and young people with SEND.
