Tender description

Havering Council is seeking expressions of interest from suitably experienced and competent providers of alcohol and drug services. The aim of the service is to provide a high quality and accessible treatment and recovery service for adults aged 18 and over who are at risk of or currently experiencing negative impacts as a result of their alcohol and/or drug use. Drug use includes illegal drugs as well as prescription and over the counter medications. The service will be closely integrated with other local services and support networks for children, adults and local communities in order to achieve expected recovery outcomes. The service will also provide an increased focus on outreach, unmet need, early intervention and will deliver innovative solutions to support this work. It is also expected to provide clinical prescribing interventions for clients of the young person’s substance misuse service aged 16 and under. This procurement is for an integrated drug treatment service for adult residents in Havering with the contract commencing on 1.10.2020. The Council is considering a 5 year contract with an extension of up to 3 years. The Council intends to publish the tender in January 2020.
