Supply of Solid Stick Wheel Flange Lubrication Spare Parts

Tender description

Iarnród Éireann (IÉ) are inviting expressions of interest from specialist companies to participate in a tender process for a 4 year contract to supply Solid Stick Wheel Flange Lubrication (SSWFL) consumables. IÉ have SSWFL equipment fitted to its fleet of 201 Class Locomotives. There are 24 operational Locomotives in the 201 fleet. The current SSWFL equipment is Kelsan LCF (Low Coefficient of Friction) supplied by LB Foster. IÉ are seeking solutions which will operate using the existing vehicle mounted spring loaded applicators and will not require the installation of any new spring loaded applicator. The scope of the contract will cover the supply of the equivalent of 6,000 Kelsan LCF (Low Coefficient of Friction) solid sticks (depending on the exchange frequency of the selected product) over the 4 year term. In addition, the scope of the contract will cover in the region of 100 right hand and 100 left hand spring loaded applicators to cover any damaged equipment experienced over the 4 year term.
