MARKET ENGAGEMENT EVENT – MANAGEMENT OF HELICOBACTER PYLORI C13 UREA BREATH TEST SERVICE Midlands & Lancashire Commissioning Support Unit (ML CSU) on behalf of the Commissioner, Leicester City Clinical Commissioning Group (LC CCG) would like to invite providers to attend a ‘Market Engagement Event’ which will inform the market of the Commissioner’s intentions to re-tender the provision of the management of H. pylori C13 urea breath test service. The service has recently been re-commissioned through an Any Qualified Provider (AQP) contract scheme. The Commissioner is considering re-opening the window to allow further entrants to the scheme to enhance the patient choice offer of the service. The aim of the service is to ensure excellent patient choice across Leicester City for the provision of the 13C Urea breath test, which is the test of choice to detect H. pylori bacteria, by implementing a safe and sustainable service in the community by increasing capacity and capability in primary care and reducing inappropriate referrals to secondary care The Market Engagement Event will take place on 18th June 2019 from 11:30 – 13:30 and will likely take place in Leicester city centre – details of the venue will be confirmed closer to the date. The Market Engagement Event will provide: • an overview of the service to be provided • details of the anticipated contract type, length and particular conditions • an overview of the procurement process and the anticipated timelines • an opportunity for you to ask questions and feedback on the presentations. • a detailed overview of submitting an offer (tender) through ML CSU’s tender portal – Bravo mini-masterclass
