Appointment of a kenneling service contractor to provide approved boarding/kenneling facilities for the detention of all stray dogs found in Copeland Borough Council’s statutory area. The approved boarding/kenneling facilities must comply with the standards specified by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health and the general duty of care under the Animal Welfare Act 2006 and Animal Welfare Regulations 2018. The successful provider will work with the Enforcement and Support Services Team at Copeland Borough Council, to provide a high level of care for any stray dogs found in Copeland during the statutory 7-day holding period.
